APM 'delighted' to be finalist in four award categories

The Association for Project Management (APM) has been confirmed as a finalist in four award categories for the second year running by the Association Excellence Awards 2016.

APM will be looking to retain the title of Overall Best UK Association at the ceremony on 26 February in London.

The award-winning association collected the accolade along with Best Association Conference in London at last year’s ceremony.

Along with the Overall Best UK Association award, APM has also been shortlisted as a finalist for Best Development of an Existing Association Event – over 300 attendees for the APM Project Management Conference 2015, Best Association Awards Event for the APM Project Management Awards 2015 and Best Use of Social Media for the ‘What is project management?’ campaign.

This caps what has been an outstanding year for APM as it announced a record-breaking performance for the third year running.

“We are delighted to be shortlisted again this year in so many categories,” said APM chief executive Sara Drake.

“This is great recognition of the continuing success of APM in delivering its ambitious strategy and a testament to the collaborative efforts of staff, members and volunteers who make this possible.”

This will be the fourth time the APM Project Management Conference has been recognised for its excellence by being shortlisted for an industry award. The association’s annual event won Best Association Conference in London for the 2015 themed New Frontiers conference.

The record-breaking APM Project Management Awards has been named as a finalist for the Best Association Awards for the second time.

APM also features in the Best Use of Social Media category again for a second year running. Following its launch in August the ‘What is project management?’ video has already attracted over 13,600 views making it one of APM’s most watched videos ever.
