New APM Qualifications at IPMA Levels C-A are being developed and we are seeking your feedback on the draft content and related role profiles, which are now available.

The refresh of APM qualifications is well underway and content for four new qualifications to be launched at IPMA Levels C-A has now been drafted.  As part of our consultative process, we want to know what you think of the draft content, the role profiles that have been produced alongside them and the ratings scale that applies.

Please note the consultation closed on Thursday 29th May 2014.

The content has been drafted following initial research with customers and subject matter experts.

The drafts have been constructed by experts in qualification production. Read more about the development of these qualifications.

The new qualifications include representation for programme and portfolio management at IPMA Level A and will enhance the suite of APM qualifications to support project professionals throughout their career.

The new qualifications will be published later in 2014.  Look out for further announcements.

    RPP is a designation (rather than a qualification), which will sit alongside the new, higher level qualifications.The inter-relation between the new qualifications and RPP, including shortened routes between them, will be explored as part of the pilot study - see recent news article. So expect more information on that once the pilot has been completed.

    Hello Brian, in answer to your query;The IPMA 4-L-C system to which we are aligning our new qualifications does not suppport a 'Project manager' qualification at Level A. So the diagram correctly reflects the qualifications we are developing at this time. There are role profiles for each of these qualifications, but from a career development perspective, we have also taken the opportunity to develop a broader range of role profiles, which are also available for review and comment.

    I notice that there are 3 role profiles at Level A (Programme Strategy, Portfolio Strategy and Project Manager).The Competance Framework diagram shows only 2 (Programme Strategy & Portfolio Strategy).See here:http://www.apm.org.uk/sites/default/files/open/C_A_intro_v1_2.pdfShould the diagram also show Project Manager at Level A? Brian
