Steve MorganBAA capital director Steve Morgan has stepped down from his role with the organisation to focus on the next phase of his career. Former BAA commercial director John Holland-Kaye will replace him in the role of capital programme director.

Mr Morgan (pictured), who led the successful transformation of the capital team over four years, leaves BAA on 31st October 2012.

In his new role, Mr Holland-Kaye will take responsibility for the delivery of capital projects at Aberdeen, Eastliegh, Glasgow and Heathrow airports. This includes the 2.5bn spend at Heathrow T2.

Mr Holland-Kaye said: Were spending 1bn a year on capital investment to transform Heathrow into a hub airport that Britain can be proud of. We have improved significantly over the last few years, but there is more to be done.

We have many changes planned which will improve passenger experience at Heathrow, the biggest of which is Terminal 2, which will open in 2014. I am looking forward to leading our team to make it happen."

Mr Holland-Kaye was appointed as BAA commercial director in May 2009 following a spell as divisional CEO with Taylor Wimpey.
