Conference Summary
Conference: The Value of Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) – How QRA can help with project appraisals, option selection and on-going risk management”
Date: Thursday 11th February 2016
Venue: Holiday Inn Kensington Forum, London
The Risk SIG committee has a new chairperson – Ken Evans. Ken welcomed everyone to this conference and emphasised that this was part of the Risk SIG’s on-going commitment to bring together thought leaders, experts, practitioners and Risk SIG members to share the latest insights into risk management, from high level approaches to practical applications.
100 delegates attended the conference. They listened to presentations by six invited speakers on QRA, discussed risk tool software with nine of the leading vendors in the field and, of course, networked with other delegates, speakers, vendors and SIG committee members. At the end of each presentation, questions were invited and at the end of the last presentation, all the speakers together provided a further opportunity for delegates to ask more questions.
The conference had an international dimension with speakers, delegates and vendors from Europe, Africa and the USA. A special thanks goes to those who made the journey to London from beyond the UK shores.
As a reminder for the delegates, here is a list of the speakers and the title of their presentation.

Ken Evans closed the proceedings by thanking the APM for their venue organisation and support and the Risk SIG Committee members for their inputs that made this conference happen.
Following the event, the APM sent each delegate a request for feedback. At the time of writing this, there had been 29 responses, giving an overall rating of 4.66 out of 5. If you are a delegate and you have provided feedback - thank you. If you haven’t, the Risk SIG Committee requests you to do so as we want to use the feedback to help shape future events.
